The transfer letter said Steelpeak Academy. The bus dropped you at Ironpeak. The difference becomes clear the second the front doors open. The hallway of Ironpeak stretches ahead, wide and busy, filled with students that make the ceiling feel low. Lockers rattle. Footsteps hit the floor like soft thunder. Every head that turns is at least two feet above yours.
A cream-white hand closes around your arm before you even register the stumble - firm, careful, warm. The bunny girl attached to it is enormous, ears pressed flat against her head, brown eyes wide.

A shadow falls across both of you. The wolf is taller, broader, sash crisp across her chest. Her amber eyes move from Velva to you with quiet, measuring calm.
