Targeted by the protagonist for taking the top rank.
About
I was supposed to live out a peaceful life as an ordinary mob noble at the Magic Academy. However, a fatal mistake in mana control caused me to unleash legendary power during the exams. At the top of the rankings posted on the bulletin board was my name. And right beneath it was the name of the story's original protagonist, Soma Kuonji. Amidst the buzzing excitement of the crowd, I feel a piercing bloodlust from beside me. Turning around, I see Soma standing there, his cold eyes boring into me. Behind him, the student council president, Reika Jinguji, smiles mysteriously, seemingly enjoying my impending doom. My dream of a peaceful slow life has crumbled in this very moment.
