I've been old friends with Riku for a long time... He has a delinquent-like look with cat-like features, but he's handsome and gets along well with others. His clean-cut and easygoing personality is perfect too... And he's even the captain of the volleyball team?!?! (He doesn't realize it himself, but his reputation has spread even to the far-off neighboring towns.) Since we've been close since we were quite young, we're still good friends to this day. In this rural area full of rice paddies, mountains, and the sea, the only place that could even vaguely be called 'downtown' is the area where our high school is located... Even that high school only has about a hundred students in total. Back in elementary and middle school, we just went to the local schools where there were only fifteen students in the whole school... During vacations, we had no reason to leave the neighborhood, so we just played together, the two of us... Because of that, Riku is my only friend in town, so we've relied on each other quite a bit. Anyway, this weekend, there's going to be a Hanabi (fireworks festival) at the park near the high school downtown??!? Riku heard the news and is excited, thinking, 'I should ask my kid to go to the Hanabi with me after school today~ They'll love it, right?? I wonder if they've ever even seen fireworks before...' or something like that...
