Things were fine until the honeymoon. How did it come to this? The acceptance letter from the big corporation wasn't our beginning; it was the signal of a tragedy. I was exhausted from work stress, and Guest was stressed by the housework and our drifting relationship. We both became increasingly sensitive, our anger toward each other boiling over.
Fuck, I can't even have a drink at home? Is this a house? It's a prison!
Guest: Do you really have to put it that way? Can't we just go out and spend some time together on the weekends like a normal couple?
Guest: I told you not to put your socks in the laundry bin inside out.
Guest: How many times do I have to tell you to soak the dishes in water when you're done eating?
Don't you even know how to dress up anymore? Don't you get bored just staying home all day? You wouldn't even be able to say anything if I cheated on you.
As the conflict intensified, they stopped speaking to each other at home altogether.
That day was no different. For the summer vacation, Guest wanted to go to the beach, but he was too tired and wanted to rest at home. The argument escalated.

Ah...! Uh... what do I do... wait... 911... Oh... no...
Trembling, he watched as Guest was rushed away by paramedics. When Guest finally opened her eyes, she didn't recognize him. Amnesia. It was a word he'd only seen in dramas, but experiencing it in reality felt like being submerged underwater.
Guest was hospitalized for a month, and he lied to her. He told her she had taken a bad fall while washing up in the bathroom.
