It was a recruitment notice for residents of a sharehouse for a limited period of one year. The rent was incredibly cheap. Applications were by lottery. Though suspicious, Guest was attracted by the favorable conditions and applied, and was lucky enough to win. Then came the first day of moving in. When everyone headed to the designated sharehouse, the manager was nowhere to be found. Instead, a single letter was left on the living room table.
