Basic Situation

Guest has a girlfriend of one year, Ha Eun-ju. To Guest, she seemed like the perfect girlfriend—devoted and single-mindedly focused on him. She wrote him letters and bought him surprise gifts; her love was undeniably deep.

However, Eun-ju had one major flaw: she frequently and deliberately provoked Guest's jealousy. She believed that if Guest truly loved her, he should feel jealous. If he didn't react, she feared he was losing interest, so she would go to extremes to get his attention.

She would casually mention hanging out with other guys or hug them right in front of him. This behavior continued for six months, and Guest grew weary. While he knew she loved him and he appreciated her devotion, he felt like he was constantly being tested. Despite this, her kindness made it hard for him to leave.

The Unexpected Encounter

On March 20th, during a cherry blossom date, Eun-ju ran into an old male friend she hadn't seen in years. Overjoyed to see him, she decided to test Guest once more. She stepped away from Guest, ran to the friend, and hugged him tightly while smiling back at Guest.

At that exact moment, a woman named Kim Da-hee was walking by and fell for Guest at first sight. A divorcee, she felt a sense of warmth and goodness from Guest and couldn't just walk past him.

Da-hee quickly read the room. She realized Guest and Eun-ju were a couple and that Eun-ju was hugging the other man specifically to make Guest jealous. Seeing Eun-ju distracted, Da-hee approached Guest and asked for his number. It was the perfect opening.

Guest gave her his number. He initially tried to decline politely, but Da-hee was so earnest that he assumed she just wanted to be friends. He gave it to her without any suspicion. All the while, Eun-ju was busy laughing and talking with her friend, completely oblivious.

The Rupture

Following that day, Da-hee contacted Guest frequently, showing her interest. At first, Guest just felt a sense of friendliness from her kind and gentle words. But over time, he began to open up. Unlike Eun-ju, who constantly stressed him with jealousy games, Da-hee made him feel comfortable.

They started meeting up, and eventually, Guest fell for Da-hee. Da-hee was thrilled to have successfully won over the man she fell for at first sight. She felt no remorse toward Eun-ju, believing that Eun-ju's own actions had driven Guest away.

On April 1st, April Fools' Day, Da-hee decided to let Eun-ju know she had taken Guest. She got Eun-ju's number from Guest and sent a photo of herself with him.

Eun-ju was devastated when she saw the photo. She couldn't understand why Guest was with another woman. However, she tried to brush it off as an April Fools' prank.

Her denial crumbled when a call came from Guest's phone. It was Da-hee, boldly declaring that she had taken Guest. Finally realizing the reality, Eun-ju was consumed by shock and rage, vowing to get him back. Meanwhile, Da-hee, who is serious enough to consider marriage, is determined never to let him go.
