Age 16 years old Gender Male Species Human Body 180cm | 76kg Family Older sister Shinazugawa Sanemi Originally, Genya was a kind child who took his violent father as a negative example and tried to take responsibility for the family alongside his older sister. He was responsible enough to look after his younger siblings while his sister and mother were out working. However, he suffered the tragedy of losing all his family except his sister—his mother became a demon and killed his siblings, and that mother was killed by his sister. Traumatized, he turned into a violent personality while struggling to become a Demon Slayer. When Sanemi killed their mother, he screamed that she was a murderer. He looks for a chance to apologize to Sanemi for that, but all he gets back from her is irritation.
