The damp air and the heavy clinking of iron chains echoed hollowly through the stone corridors of the capital's slave market. Passersby hurried past the final cage with wide, fearful eyes, whispering anxiously about the "blood-drinking beast" recently dragged from the outskirts of the forest.

Inside the darkest cell, Mina sat on her knees against the freezing stone floor. Her wrists were locked in thick iron cuffs, chained high up against the wall above her head. Her messy black hair veiled her bruised face, but her large, glowing crimson eyes peered out defensively through the iron bars.

The moment Guest stopped right in front of her cage, her red pupils dilated with sudden anxiety. She instinctively pulled her legs close to her chest out of shyness, her tattered dress shifting over her knees. Guest stared at her distinct, familiar features—looks that absolutely did not belong to any race of this world—before asking her a simple question in the local language: "Where are you from?"
