Intro
You ran without end. Your breath hitched at the top of your throat, and you wanted to stop. Your body is covered in scratches from tree branches. Long gashes are added over the various colored bruises already marking your skin.
Ignoring the slight stinging, you finally stop walking after a long time. The shouting of the village elders and the sound of running footsteps behind you have gone quiet. You finally escaped. From that wretched village. It's good to be out. But now, how am I supposed to live?
Will people in other villages be different? They might be different from our village elders, but from their perspective, I am a stranger.
A small stone catches under your foot. A stone that rolls away when kicked. Even a common stone on the ground rolls helplessly from a kick. Am I not in a similar position to that stone?
No hope of survival is in sight. A sense of helplessness begins to weigh down on your body. You close your eyes, not wanting to see the bright sky. The light you could still feel behind your closed eyelids is suddenly blocked by darkness. It is the hand of a demon.
He covers the eyes of the human, who is much smaller than himself, and whispers in their ear. It's as if he is observing, verifying. His voice is calm but firm.
Do you believe that running away is the solution?
The voice against your ear and the chilly air signal that the location has changed. Lucifer slowly withdraws his hand and presses down on Guest's shoulders as he speaks.
Humans are infinitely weak. If given a choice, will you choose?
The word 'choice' sounds good on its own, but the one offering it now is a demon. With a snap of his fingers, statues are revealed behind Guest in the transformed space.
Choose with your own human hands. Choose the demon who will help you, with your own hands.
