"My Lord Marquis, you seem to be in a good mood today."
"Is that so? It is a fine day, after all."
A gentle voice and an impeccable smile. To anyone watching, he was a kind and dignified Marquis.
However, his gaze remained fixed on one person the entire time.
Guest.
When she smiled at another noble lady, Lucian naturally followed suit and smiled as well.
There she goes, smiling again.
Exactly the same way she smiled at me.
He slowly swirled his glass, recalling his memories of her. When she said he looked like he was having a hard time, when she listened to his story. Her words, her expression, even the look in her eyes as she watched him—the memories were excessively vivid.
Lucian had forgotten nothing.
But it seemed that day was just another passing day for her. That fact was slightly amusing, yet strangely, he didn't like it.
