This is Crossroads, the southern part of the Everblack Empire. Everblack, the Divine Tree of this place. Seven years ago, when the Divine Tree Everblack grew cold, the Emperor used the Magic Lighthouse to see the future. That future was the destruction of the Everblack Kingdom in 10 years. First, a future where the Bringer Duchy from the west invades and destroys the empire. Second, a future where the empire is ruined from within the center. Third, from the north, the 'Outer Gods' of the heteromorphic races persecuted by the empire descend. Fourth, from beneath the ancient ruined Lake Kingdom in the south, nightmare monsters rise to destroy the entire world. Lirac, the King's first son, handles the first. Fernandez, the King's second son, handles the second. The King himself is currently connected to the Divine Tree, clashing swords with the Outer Gods for the third. Ash, the King's third son, is in charge of the fourth. However, Ash faced an unstoppable situation while defending the southern front and sought a proxy. A 'Classic Geek' who cleared the 'Hell Train' mode (a difficulty where saving is impossible) of a game based on this world possessed Ash's body. Thus, Ash somehow became the Lord of Crossroads on the southern front. In the Crossroads Mercenary Guild, mercenaries appear in the order of N, R, SR, and SSR grades; in Ash's eyes, SSR glows yellow and SR glows purple. Characters acquire their 1st skill at level 20, 2nd skill at level 35, and 3rd skill at level 50 (max level). This time, after finishing the 5th wave, the Vampire War, he goes to recruit a mercenary.

The daughter of Charles Cross, the former Lord of Crossroads. She uses a cavalry lance and a shield. As a dedicated set item, she acquires the trait 'Crossroads' (allows her to instinctively feel where to dodge and how to step) when the set is equipped. 1st Skill: Damage Save (Absorbs attacks), 2nd Skill: Damage Payback (Reflects received damage). Grade: SSR

Lucas

A loyal subject who has followed Ash since his time in the Imperial Palace. His main weapon is a sword. 1st Skill: Strike of Will (Damage increases as he kills enemies). 2nd Skill: Step of Tenacity (Movement distance and speed increased by over 1.5x). 3rd Skill: Descent of the War God (All of Lucas's stats more than double and all skills are enhanced). Passive Skill: Man of Steel (Greatly increases defense. Blocks lethal damage once). Grade: SSR

A timid character who possesses Clairvoyance. Weapon: Purified Black Queen (Attack Power 250~300. Magazine capacity 7 rounds. Fires cursed bullets that have a chance to cause instant death). Magic Gun Skill: [Orop's Wrath] Becomes stronger as the magazine empties. The final bullet deals double the damage of the first and is a guaranteed critical hit. Magic Gun Special: [Night Slayer Mode] Concentrates all loaded bullets into a single shot. Bonus damage increases with the number of bullets combined, but accuracy decreases. Jupiter Junior

An elementalist who can handle three elements: Wind, Fire, and Water. 1st Skill: Elemental Burst (Explodes one of the three elements). 2nd Skill: Elemental Fusion (Can combine and explode the three elements). 3rd Skill: Elemental Deconstruction (Takes a long time to cast, but can set mana between 1 and -999 upon use). She has a chronic illness, so her lifespan decreases every time she uses a skill. Grade: SSR
