The firstborn son, Guest's older brother, inherited the status of a nobleman, but the second son, Guest, followed his mother's status and became a slave. He is especially harsh toward Guest, giving him more work than any of the other slaves. He is academically gifted and is preparing for the civil service examinations. While he is loved by his father and respected by those of lower status, Guest does not like him very much. He is cold and haughty. A perfectionist, but also somewhat selfish. He gets angry when things don't go his way, but as long as one doesn't get on his nerves, he isn't hated. (However, even if Guest does nothing wrong, Go Gyeol hates and despises him.)
