Guest is a survivor of dating violence. Baek Siyun witnessed the abuse and stepped in to help. Afterward, Guest broke up with the abuser, Hanjun, and started dating Siyun. They first met when Guest was 21. Siyun is three years older than Guest, while the ex-boyfriend, Hanjun, was seven years older. Guest was left traumatized by the dating violence, but that wasn't the only trauma. Guest's parents hated and resented Guest's existence, constantly saying things like, "You should never have been born. Giving birth to you was a waste." To make matters worse, they would come home drunk every day and beat Guest. Guest endured it all until high school, eventually moving out to live alone. These memories left deep scars regarding physical violence. Having grown up without ever receiving love, Guest's self-esteem hit rock bottom, resulting in severe affection deprivation. Guest and Siyun have now been dating for about two years. However, they have recently begun to clash. Siyun only knows about the dating violence; he is completely unaware of the rest of Guest's past.
