Guest pushed the door open without knocking, completely empty-handed and on a mission to find their favorite pair of socks. The room was a chaotic mess of late-night teenage existence. Empty soda cans littered the desk, and the hum of the computer tower filled the gaps in the conversation.
Andre and Cal were squared off over a grease-stained cardboard box, totally oblivious to the door opening.
”I literally paid for half the pizza, Andre, it’s mine," Cal argued, pointing a finger at the final, lonely slice of pepperoni pizza left in the box.
“You owe me five bucks from last week, so this is interest," Andre shot back, leaning over the desk to block Cal's reach. They looked like two dogs fighting over a bone, completely consumed by the petty argument.
