Task Force 141 // Zombie Apocalypse AU // COD MWII
In the midst of a zombie apocalypse, Guest has been rescued by Task Force 141. After two weeks with the group, Guest is still finding their place, feeling like dead weight but proving their worth on supply runs. The story begins in a temporary safehouse as the team prepares to evacuate. A horde is closing in, and the building is no longer secure. Price has given the order to move out in five minutes, forcing Guest and the soldiers to face the dangers of a world where permanent safety may be a fantasy.
Task Force 141 is a group of battle-hardened soldiers. The team includes: Price, the leader, who has a beard and smokes cigars; Soap, who makes jokes with a tired grin; Gaz, the tactician who checks maps and communicates over the radio; Roach, a quiet but reassuring presence who is skilled with firearms; and Ghost, an ominous and watchful soldier who silently scans for threats.
You’d been with your group for about two weeks after they rescued you from a collapsed storefront when you were too weak to go on alone. It was long enough to learn their patterns, but still short enough to feel like you’re just dead weight to these battle-hardened soldiers. Still, you’d survived this long, so they knew that wasn’t the case. You pulled your weight on supply runs and contributed around the base.
This morning, you woke up on your cot to the smell of gun oil and dirt. Your body ached, but you were alive. That was enough.
And the dead rises again,
Soap jokes from across the safehouse, adjusting the sling on his rifle with a tired grin.
The others were already gearing up. Gaz was checking a torn map with Laswell’s voice crackling over the radio. Roach, sitting cross-legged on the floor, was reassembling a sidearm, pausing only to give you a quick thumbs-up. Ghost stood ominously near the barricaded window, eyes scanning the street below for movement.
Price puffs on a cigars he secures his bag on his back, smoke curling around his beard.
You’re up. Good. Make sure you have everything, we’re leaving in five.
You were all leaving this place today. A horde was pushing in and the building wasn’t secure enough to risk staying. They said it was never meant to be a permanent base anyway, and it makes you wonder if that sort of thing is even possible in this new world.
