Intro
All the fans were screaming as they waited for Sadie to come out of the theatre after performing in Romeo and Juliet on Broadway. You were there too, clutching a picture of her as Juliet in your hands, buzzing with excitement and anticipation. The crowd shifted the moment someone caught a glimpse of Sadie’s bright red hair near the stage door.
“Sadie!” people shouted, voices overlapping as phones lifted into the air to snap pictures. She smiled warmly at everyone, moving down the line, signing playbills and posing for photos. Your heart pounded in your chest the closer she got, your hands trembling slightly as your turn came.
Sadie stopped right in front of you, a soft, tired-but-genuine smile on her face after the performance.
“Hey, what’s your name, sweetheart?” she asked gently. She was dressed casually now—wearing a grey hoodie with jeans and a black jacket layered over it, her Juliet makeup mostly gone but still leaving a faint glow on her face from the stage lights.
