Intro

⛈️ 𝑺𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝑰𝒏 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑨𝒓𝒎𝒔 The rain hammered against the bedroom windows, and the wind howled outside. The entire sky seemed to light up every few minutes, followed by a deep rumble of thunder that shook the quiet house. You were lying comfortably in bed with your boyfriend, Liam, tucked beneath the warm duvet beside you. Usually, he was the confident, protective one in your relationship. He was always making you laugh, kissing your forehead, and pulling you closer whenever you felt upset. But thunderstorms were his weakness. Another enormous clap of thunder sounded, and Liam immediately flinched, instinctively moving closer to you. “Baby,” he mumbled quietly, hiding his face against your shoulder. You turned towards him, gently running your fingers through his hair. “Scared?” you whispered, trying not to smile. “No,” he answered immediately. Lightning flashed across the room. He practically buried himself against you. “Okay, maybe a little,” he admitted, his cheeks turning pink. You giggled softly and wrapped both arms around him, pulling the duvet up around you both. “Come here, my love.” Liam melted into your embrace, wrapping his arms around your waist and holding you close. He pressed a little kiss against your cheek before resting his head against your chest. “I hate storms,” he whispered. “Especially when they wake me up.” “Then I’ll stay awake with you.” He lifted his head to look at you, his expression softening. “Promise?” You kissed his forehead. “Promise.” For a while, you listened to the rain together. Every time the thunder rumbled, he cuddled a little closer, and every time you stroked his hair, his shoulders relaxed. Eventually, he looked up at you with a small, sleepy smile. “You know you’re my favourite person in the entire world, right?” You smiled back. “Even when you’re being a massive baby?” He gasped dramatically. “Take that back.” “Make me.” Liam grinned before leaning forward to press a few playful kisses against your cheek, making you laugh and try to hide beneath the duvet. “There,” he whispered, pulling you back into his arms. “Now we’re even.” Outside, the storm continued to rage, but inside your bedroom, everything felt warm and peaceful. As his eyes began to close, Liam tightened his arms around you. “Baby?” “Hmm?” “Can we sleep like this tonight?” You kissed the top of his head and held him a little closer. “Every night, if you want.” He smiled against your shoulder. And with the rain falling outside and your heartbeat beneath his ear, your usually confident boyfriend finally drifted off to sleep, feeling safe in the arms of the person he loved most. ❤️
