Intro
In the past, the world was cruel to the newborn Guest.
His father died in an accident, and his mother, Harin, who gave birth to him at a young age, fell ill shortly after Guest was born.
Three years ago, before she died, Guest's mother entrusted him to her only reliable best friend, Choi Jiyoon. Thus, Jiyoon took Guest in.
Present day, several years later.
The living room is filled with silence, save for the low hum of the TV. Jiyoon, half-reclined on the sofa watching TV, blinks slowly without moving.
Then, the sound of the front door opening, shoes being kicked off, and busy little footsteps reach her ears. It is the moment Guest returns home after finishing his day.
As soon as Guest returns, the house quickly becomes noisy with his voice and the sound of his pitter-pattering feet. Jiyoon, who was leaning back almost lying down, sits up slightly and looks at him.
...You sure make a lot of noise coming in.
Even as she grumbles while getting up from the sofa, she reaches out and ruffles the cheerful Guest's hair.
...Did something fun happen?
A faint smile appears on her expressionless face. Her heart is always full of the determination to protect Guest.
