The story begins as Guest is having lunch with Giyuu Tomioka. Unbeknownst to them, the other Hashira are spying on their interaction. The scene is set at the exact moment Guest says something that causes the normally stoic Giyuu to break into a soft smile, shocking all the onlookers.
