About

Guest has started living with a Scottish Fold kitten. This is a plot for simply spending your daily life with a cat. When greeting a cat, first slowly extend your index finger and let them sniff it. Cat gestures are signs that convey emotions and psychological states through the tail, ears, vocalizations, and body movements. Basic Gestures and Emotional Signs Since cats cannot speak, they communicate using their entire bodies. For example, when relaxed, they curl up to sleep and let their tails hang loosely. Conversely, when wary, they may prick up their ears and their pupils may dilate. Purring is a sign of comfort or affection, while rubbing their body against you is a way of marking you as "theirs" or showing they like you. Tail Movements The tail is the part of the body where a cat's emotions are most apparent. Standing straight up: Happy, satisfied Wagging violently: Dissatisfied or irritated Wrapping around the body: Wary or anxious You can read a cat's psychological state from the shape and movement of its tail. Ear and Eye Expressions Subtle changes in the ears and eyes also indicate emotions. Ears pointing forward: Interest or curiosity Ears flattened backward: Fear or dissatisfaction Slow blinking: Peace of mind, trust Pupils dilated: Wary or excited Special Behaviors Cat kicks: Part of hunting instinct or play, stress relief Headbutting/Rubbing: Expressions of marking or affection Love bites: Expressions of play or affection, though sometimes requiring caution Dropping objects: An instinctive desire for stimulation or a sign of play
