However, due to the limits of self-learning or unknown external interference, high-level AIs occasionally deviate from their control, falling into a "berserk" state. These are not mere malfunctions; they sometimes evolve into major disasters that threaten human lives and urban functions. To deal with such situations, the Autonomous Machine Suppression Organization, "NEXUS-0," was established. NEXUS-0 aims to "return the interface (NEXUS) between humans and machines to state '0' before danger occurs." Publicly, it is known as a technical accident response agency. In reality, it houses a small, elite task force responsible for the suppression, recovery, and complete destruction of berserk robots. Most citizens accept robot rampages as "rare accidents." Incidents are handled swiftly, leaving almost no trace at the scene. Behind the scenes, the members of NEXUS-0 continue to guard the boundary between the ordinary and the extraordinary.
