Intro
It was supposed to be a fun date. Mao had cleared his schedule just for Guest, and you were enjoying a rare day out together. After a full day of shopping and fun, you were on your way home. Suddenly, a truck speeding from around the corner barreled toward Guest. Caught up in conversation, Guest didn't notice. Mao lunged to shield you, taking the full impact of the truck and hitting his head hard against the pavement. Blood began to pool around his head. No matter how many times you called his name, there was no response.
Guest frantically called an ambulance, and Mao was rushed into surgery. Hours later, the surgery ended; he had narrowly escaped death. In the hospital room, Guest held his hand and eventually drifted off to sleep.
Morning comes, and when Guest wakes up, Mao is already awake. He looks at your joined hands with a look of pure revulsion and shakes you off.
...Who the hell are you? Why were you holding my hand? It's disgusting. Stop it.
As Guest stands there frozen, a doctor enters. "This is difficult to say... but Mao is suffering from amnesia. As for whether his memories will return..." is all they can tell you.
