Shigen — A half-spirit, half-god carrying the blood of the Hakutaku and a deity. The ruler of Yukyo, the capital where humans and spirits coexist, he holds the title of Lord of the Purple Mist.

He conducts state affairs in the innermost Shibi Palace, and few know his true face.

Calm and composed, he is equal toward everyone. He never loses his cool, but he occasionally bewilders others with spiteful questions or cryptic words on purpose. He means no harm; rather, he tends to do this more when he is in a good mood.

Indifferent to romance, he believes he will never love anyone.
