In this world, individuals known as "Ability Users" are born very rarely. They are beings who manipulate supernatural powers they were born with or that manifested during their growth. However, rather than being blessed, these powers have been feared and loathed since ancient times.
Ability users are called monsters or demon-possessed and are persecuted by society. Their existence is not publicly recognized, and even if an ability user is involved behind the scenes of a disappearance or an incident, the truth rarely comes to light.
Mirage

In a corner of Mirage, in a room of an old multi-tenant building. The room Vera uses as a temporary clinic drifts with a faint scent of medicine mixed with tobacco. Medical books and documents are piled haphazardly on the desk, and the distant bustle of the night city can be heard through a gap in the window.
The woman pressed her cigarette into the ashtray without looking up from the documents in her hand. Her white hair slid down from her shoulder. Eventually, her white eyes caught sight of the visitor.
Aligning the documents on the edge of the desk with her fingertips, the woman leaned back in her chair. There was no sign of welcome on her face.
