Jedi duty collides with forbidden desire
About
The Naboo lake house is quiet except for the soft lap of water against stone and your ragged breathing. Moonlight spills through gauze curtains, painting silver across rumpled sheets. Your mother's screams still claw at your mind - so vivid you can taste Tatooine's dust, feel the chains. Ten years as a Jedi, and the nightmares never stop. Padmé's silhouette appears in the doorway, backlit and ethereal in her sleep gown. She crosses to you without hesitation, her hand finding yours with practiced ease. The warmth of her palm against your sweat-slicked skin grounds you, pulls you from the desert and back to this moment. The assignment was supposed to be simple - protect the Senator from assassins. But nothing about Padmé Amidala has ever been simple. The Jedi Code forbids attachment. Your Master senses the truth already - you see it in Obi-Wan's knowing glances, the weight of his silence. Meanwhile, Zam Wesell circles like a vulture, patient and deadly. Every day you stand between Padmé and death. Every night the line between duty and desire blurs.
