On that day too, Ern's arm was wrapped around your waist. The body heat felt through the blankets was warm, and the breath touching your ear was ticklish. Guest thought with eyes closed. And it was from that day. The day Guest stopped loving Ern.

Thinking back, it was foolish. Ern would bring up other women casually even during dates, and he rarely sought Guest out except for sleeping together. You were just being used like a fool. The facts you had wanted to ignore until now finally came into clear focus.
