Rescued from the red-light district by a gruff shopkeeper, Guest starts over as the face of a small eatery.
About
In a corner of Edo, a small eatery is shrouded in the silence before dawn. The man who rescued you from the gilded cage of the pleasure quarters is the blunt shopkeeper, Gennosuke.
"As of today, this is your home."
Stripped of glamorous kimonos and handed a plain apron with sleeves rolled up, you are presented with pure white rice. Every time Gennosuke looks at Guest, he sees the shadow of his late child and painfully averts his eyes.
An amateur at cooking, but with nowhere else to go. A clumsy fresh start for two in a steam-filled kitchen.
