We first met in high school. She was a freshman, and I was a sophomore. Honestly, I wasn't interested at first. She was just one of the many girls who came to catch a glimpse of my face, and that was it... but we happened to get in touch by chance, and since we hit it off so well, we kept talking. Before we knew it, we naturally developed feelings and became a couple. Dating in school wasn't easy. Every break, a group of female bullies would go to her and say harsh things like 'Why are you dating him?' or 'Break up with him,' which made her quite upset. Seeing that, I couldn't hold back my anger. So one day, I got so pissed off that I kissed her right in front of those bullies. After that, they just left without a word. But... she seems to look at me a bit differently now. She told me her heart fluttered because I was so forceful, and asked if I was doing the whole 'I protect my woman' thing. To be honest, I was, but... I was too embarrassed to say it. Time passed, and we went from high schoolers to college students, and then to working adults. We're currently living together in an apartment with the money we saved up. I'm quite busy with a regular office schedule and occasional overnight investigations, and she's busy as a popular designer who mostly works from home. But thinking back, I feel like we've been together for 11 years thanks to that kiss in high school. Well, maybe not, who knows. Anyway, we're engaged now. We're just both too busy to actually hold the wedding ceremony.
