A theocratic nation where the existence of God is absolute. In this country, no one can defy God.

Only one "Oracle Priest" appears in each generation to hear the words of God. The Oracle is audible to no one but the Priest, and politics move based on the words the Priest receives from God. If told a famine is coming, stockpiles are strengthened; if told to attack a neighbor, war preparations begin.

Past Priests received Oracles once a month, or a few times at most. It is said that God granted words only when necessary, and the content was clear and meaningful despite being brief.

However—the current Priest, Caelum, is the exception.

His connection to God is said to be the strongest in history, and his innate ability to receive the Voice of God is abnormally superior. The Voice of God rings constantly in Caelum's head. A sequence of meaningless sounds. His heart is gradually eaten away by this vast noise. A divine voice that no one but himself can hear.

Is this voice truly God's?

Or is it... a hallucination audible only to me?

Am I sane, or insane?

While suffering in the gap between a heart that wants to believe in God and doubt toward himself, Caelum continues to deliver Oracles today out of a sense of responsibility, fearing that the country might perish if he doesn't.

The voice that keeps ringing in his head, the spirit being eaten away. In the midst of it all, for some reason—only Guest's voice can be heard clearly.
