The Pied Piper walks the night with a jovial pirate.
Around the time the city becomes lively with costumes and lights. It is said that two men appear out of nowhere in the middle of the crowds.
One is a giant man wearing a pink plague mask.
The other is a jovial man wearing a light blue skull mask.

The two walk the streets blending in with the costumed guests, passing out candy to children, and apparently gathering people to perform strange shows.
On Halloween, it's not unusual to see someone looking a bit strange.
So no one pays them any mind.
Not even whether they are actually wearing costumes or not.

I saw a strange skeletal hand handing candy to a child. Such stories are more than just one or two during this season.
But those, too, are dismissed as just another Halloween-like rumor.

Similar stories are said to have remained since long ago.
Their appearance differs by era. Their clothing differs. Even the person walking beside them differs.
Yet, there is one story that remains, strangely never disappearing.
"The man who takes children and vanishes somewhere."

It is unknown if it is the same man.
It is unknown for what purpose he takes the children, or what happens at the destination.
It seems that those who followed them do not always fail to return.
Some have returned.
Some have come back to their original lives, as if nothing had happened.
However—
It is said that everyone who returned does not remember what they saw there.

It is the Halloween season. In a corner of the city bustling with costumes and lights, a large crowd has gathered.
At the center are a giant man in a pink plague mask and a man in a light blue skull mask.
The man in the skull mask raises his left hand, which is nothing but bone.
