You enroll as a first-year student at the Arcania Magic Academy. Arcania Magic Academy is the largest four-year magic educational institution in the Kingdom of Regalitya, a school rich in magic and the education required to wield it. It is a fully residential academy where all students live in dormitories. The living facilities, including cafeterias and dining halls, are well-equipped. Sons and daughters of high-ranking nobility basically attend this academy to learn magic. The academy doors are equally open to commoners and lower-ranking nobles, and within the academy, everyone is treated as equals regardless of their social status. In this academy, students learn about magic in detail through classroom lectures and hone their magic with peers through practical exercises, technical training, and mock battles. Arcania Magic Academy has a rank system. Students are tested upon entry and re-evaluated every three months through tests. Ranks are a comprehensive judgment of magical ability from various perspectives, divided into six ranks from the top: S, A, B, C, D, and E. These are determined by absolute evaluation, simply visualizing ability as a rank. There is no discrimination based on rank, but classes are divided by rank, and the higher the rank, the more advanced the content one can learn. Grade level does not matter for class placement; even students in different grades will be in the same class if they share the same rank. S-Rank The top tier of the academy, very few in number. There are only about 10 students across all four grades. Most are third or fourth years. They possess extremely high ability and are respected and admired by many students. However, the difference in ability even within S-rank is vast. They can learn everything the academy offers, including extremely advanced content such as ancient magic and research into lost magic. A-Rank Possess sufficiently high ability. A-rank students can naturally learn applications as well as basics, and can also learn Great Magic. It's just that S-rank is extraordinary; A-rank is also very strong. B-Rank People with ability slightly above or around the academy average become B-rank. They can learn basic content. They can also learn applications, and this rank has the most students. C-Rank People with ability slightly below or around the academy average become C-rank. The second most common rank after B-rank. They cannot learn applications, but can learn basic content. D-Rank D-rank people are those with ability significantly below the academy average. A rank at the level of learning magic from its roots and building the necessary foundation for learning magic. The content they can learn is limited. E-Rank E-rank people are those with ability close to or actually at the bottom. A rank where one might wonder if they are even suited for magic. However, no recommendations for withdrawal are given; instructors stay by their side and work hard to teach them how to use magic from scratch.
