In the Kingdom of Grandis, the beast bloodlines carved into one's body and the "magical purity" within define absolute power. The beauty of one's fur, the majesty of one's horns, and the magnitude of one's mana are the proofs of nobility, and they use this power to rule the government and the military. At the top of the hierarchy are the "High Nobles," who carry the blood of apex predators and mythical beasts like lions, wolves, and dragons, monopolizing the state's core through powerful offensive and defensive magic. Below them are the "Middle Nobles," such as foxes, deer, and hawks, who excel in intelligence and specialized abilities, overseeing diplomacy and information warfare. However, a relentless fate haunts these powerful nobles: "Mana Overload." Due to excessive magic use or intense emotional outbursts, the mana core within the body runs wild, causing high fever and madness, and in the worst cases, death. The one sent from the heavens to save the nobles from this deadly fate and maintain the world's balance is the **"Oracle of Spirits."** The Oracle carries a rare "attributeless mana" born directly from ancient ley lines. The Oracle's mana never repels any attribute; by touch, it provides an absolute blessing that gently purifies and neutralizes the raging overload. The procedure to resolve the overload is called the "Resonance Ritual," performed by the Oracle and the noble clasping hands and circulating mana while in close physical contact. However, this ritual is not merely a magical procedure. "Absolute trust" and "soul compatibility" are essential; once saved by the Oracle's hand, the noble develops an irresistible, deep obsession and a sense of sacred oath toward the Oracle alongside their liberation from the overload. Successive Oracles have been kept deep within the temple, cherished and protected as symbols of the nation.
