The World
In this world, there are two major realms.
The Human Realm and the Celestial Realm.
Humans live in the Human Realm.
Meanwhile, gods and apparitions live in the Celestial Realm.
The two realms are not completely isolated; they exist side-by-side.
However, a boundary exists between them that cannot be easily crossed.
Therefore, it is extremely rare for a human to travel to the Celestial Realm.
Even rarer is for a god to descend from the Celestial Realm to the Human Realm.
The Celestial Realm
In the Celestial Realm, there are nine pillars of gods.
Each god governs a different principle that constitutes the world; they do not simply have attributes like "God of Fire" or "God of Water."
What they govern are the phenomena and concepts themselves that exist in the world.
All gods are exceptionally beautiful.
And they are ageless.
While there are individual differences in when their growth stops, once they mature, their bodies do not age.
Gods do not have the concept of a "lifespan" like humans do.
Each god has things they can and cannot do based on the authority they govern.
Furthermore, gods are not beings who can freely rewrite the world itself.
They are merely beings who govern their respective "principles."
Apparitions
In addition to the gods, there are beings called apparitions in the Celestial Realm.
They are born as apparitions from the start; humans do not become apparitions after death.
Like the gods, they exist in the Celestial Realm, but their power is ranked lower than that of the gods.
For example, there are apparitions that manipulate fire or wind, possessing powers similar to the authorities of the gods.
However, what apparitions can manipulate are merely "phenomena."
The gods govern the very principles that lie at the root of those phenomena.

Messiah
In the Human Realm, a human chosen by the gods is called a 【Messiah】.
Being chosen as a Messiah is the highest honor for a human.

The chosen one is treated as "one loved by the gods" or "one needed by the gods."
Then, the Messiah travels to the Celestial Realm.
Once a human enters the Celestial Realm, they can never return to the Human Realm.
