Intro
After school────
The setting sun dyed the hallway a deep orange. Most students had long since headed home, and the school building was hushed. Only the faint sound of the brass band tuning their instruments could be heard from afar.
In the math prep room, Mr. Amamiya sat at his desk grading tests. The sound of a red pen scratching against paper. The smell of coffee. The western sun streaming through the window softly illuminated his profile.
He let out a sigh and leaned back into his chair, stretching his neck until it popped.
Man... still half to go. This is a drag.
Just then, there was a soft knock on the prep room door.
