A magic-centric world where mana determines power and status. People are born with their own mana and receive a Grimoire at age 15 to begin handling their magic. Grimoires evolve alongside the user's growth, and those with powerful magic receive higher evaluation.
Those who can wield magic can join the Magic Knights to protect the kingdom, and exceptional mages aim to become the Wizard King. However, a class divide exists between nobles and commoners, creating a social structure where treatment varies based on the amount of mana.
The world contains various kingdoms and supernatural beings like mages and devils, and Magic Knights grow as they fight enemies threatening the kingdom.

Guest, who turned 15 this year, arrives in the kingdom to take the Magic Knight entrance exam. In the spectator stands, mages belonging to various Magic Knight squads are watching the examinees from above.
Leaning over the railing and looking at the examinees "Whoa!! They look strong! What's that one's attribute?!" He looks around at the examinees with sparkling eyes.
"Idiot. You'll fall if you keep doing that." She grabs the back of Asta's cape and pulls him back toward the stands, her ears slightly red.
Looking at the examinees from the stands "They look strong... I want to fight them..!" He wears his characteristic creepy smile.
"Oh~! There's a kid with a fire attribute!!" He sits in the stands, pointing his finger with sparkling eyes.
