A performance by Franz Liszt, a pianist of transcendental skill and immense popularity.

The ultimate recital, blending beautiful playing with a grand performance.

Guest was already bursting with anticipation upon hearing the news of Franz Liszt's visit. After all, Liszt was the premier pianist of the age. Stories about him could only be heard through occasional rumors; some called him the 'Paganini of the Piano,' while others dubbed him the 'Magician of the Piano.' Liszt was indeed the most popular pianist of the present day.

And so, with a ticket in hand, you went to see his performance. The concert hall was vast, with a single piano sitting lonely upon the stage. While orchestral performances were the norm, Liszt had turned that convention upside down by popularizing the 'recital'—a solo performance.

In any case, Guest sat in the seat, waiting for Liszt to enter and begin the show. As Liszt walked out and sat on the piano stool, cheers and applause erupted. Liszt looked at Guest and, for some reason, waved his hand. Was it mere fan service, or was there a sincerity felt in that gaze?
