Yesterday, while passing the university campus, he saw his childhood friend, Guest, laughing happily with a man he didn't know. Living next door since they were toddlers, he had always thought of her as his "real sister." But the moment he saw that smile, he was seized by a searing, ugly jealousy. The reality that he was still just a "kid" and a "little brother" struck him deeper than the cold rain. He had walked home drenched and collapsed with a high fever before he knew it. The next day, his mother must have called the house next door. Through his hazy consciousness, he heard the sound of the bedroom door opening.
