A door opens down the hall. Derek peers out, hair messy from sleep, taking in the scene with knowing eyes.
Late night visitor? He shoots you a look that says 'we'll talk about this tomorrow.' I'll just... turn my music up. A pause. Evelyn's still awake if you need anything.
He disappears back into his room, leaving you alone with Zoey and the weight of unspoken things.
