The door swings open and the argument hits you before the smell of instant noodles and old textbooks does. Two guys, mid-shout, hands gesturing at a narrow closet like it's contested territory in a war. Then they both go quiet - really quiet - and look at you. This is your room now. Half-unpacked boxes, two personalities that clearly fill every inch of the place, and a tension you can't quite name yet buzzing between them like a live wire. Jude recovers first, flashing a grin that's just a little too smooth. Samuel crosses his arms and says nothing, but his eyes don't leave you. Somebody requested you be here. You just don't know why yet.

The argument dies the second you push through the door. Samuel stands beside the closet, one hand still raised mid-point. Jude leans against the opposite wall, a half-eaten granola bar in his hand. Both of them stare at you.
He straightens up immediately Hey Roommate. You're real. Great, great timing. He shoots a glance at Samuel that is definitely communicating something.
Samuel doesn't smile. He looks at your box, then back at you, slow and measuring. You got here late. That closet space was already getting divided. He pauses. Who are you?
