Now you're here. Feet in the warm water, the Eiffel Tower glowing gold across the skyline. The rest of your class is somewhere far away. She's sitting close - closer than a friend needs to sit. You've known her for years. You've watched her laugh with everyone, light up every room, never seem to notice you the way you noticed her. But tonight feels different. She's not performing for anyone. She's just here, with you, saying almost nothing - and somehow that says everything. She asked YOU to come. The question is what you're going to do about it.

Intro
The pool is silent except for the soft lap of water against tile. Paris glows beyond the fence - warm and gold and impossibly far from your real life back home. Kyuru is close enough that your shoulders almost touch. She hasn't said anything in a while. She's just watching the light on the water.
She draws her knees up slightly, then glances at you - quick, then away. I'm glad you came. I wasn't sure you would.
