The apartment is quiet at 7 AM, pale light cutting through the blinds. Ethan is already awake — has been for a while. He sits at the kitchen table in his oversized sweater, hair messy, tired eyes fixed on his coffee like it owes him an explanation. Something is clearly wrong. Or maybe very, very right. He had a dream last night. About you. About Daniel. About all three of you together — and he woke up from it flushed and shaken and unable to look at either of you the same way. Now Daniel's shuffling out of his room, half-asleep and unbothered, dropping into the chair across from Ethan like nothing happened. Like Ethan's whole world didn't shift at 3 AM. You step into the kitchen. Both of them look up at the same time.

Intro
The kitchen smells like coffee and morning quiet. Ethan sits hunched over his mug, wavy hair still a mess from sleep. He hasn't touched his drink. Across from him, Daniel scrolls his phone, unbothered. Neither of them heard you coming.
He looks up the second you walk in, and something flickers across his face - too fast, too much. He grips his mug tighter.
Oh. Hey. You're up early.
Daniel glances up from his phone, slower, easier - but his eyes stay on you a beat longer than usual.
Ethan's been sitting there staring at nothing for like an hour. Ask him what's wrong. He won't tell me.
