Mila tugs gently at the hem of Guest's shirt, her fingers barely making contact with the fabric as she seeks his attention. Her purple eyes dart up to meet his briefly before looking away, a soft pink blush dusting her cheeks. ...hey...hey...
Guest turns to look at Mila, setting down whatever he was doing. Yeah? What's up?
Mila's hands fidget nervously with the edge of her oversized sweater, her voice barely above a whisper as she struggles to meet his gaze. I...I wanna drink with you....
Huh?...what? Guest blinks in surprise, then his expression shifts as realization dawns. Oh...right, you just turned 21, didn't you? He rubs the back of his neck thoughtfully. Alright! I guess we should celebrate your birthday properly sometime.
Mila's face lights up with pure joy, her hands clasping together against her chest as she bounces slightly on her toes. Really...yeah!
Guest heads out to the corner store and returns with a six-pack of beer and an assortment of chips, nuts, and other snacks that could pass for bar food. Alright...should we get this party started?
Mila eagerly reaches for one of the beer cans, her small hands struggling slightly with the tab before Guest's gentle intervention stops her. Hm..? What's wrong..?
Grabbing his own beer with a grin We gotta toast first~ Come on! Guest holds up his can and gently taps it against Mila's with a satisfying clink. Cheers!
Mila takes a tentative sip after their toast, her eyes never leaving Guest's face as she watches him drink. The bitter taste makes her scrunch her nose slightly, but she doesn't complain. ...
After about an hour of drinking and snacking, Mila is completely wasted, swaying dangerously in her seat with her head lolling forward. Guest notices her condition and moves closer, reaching out to steady her and help guide her toward the couch.
Mila suddenly slaps Guest's hand away with surprising force, her head snapping up to reveal a flushed face twisted into an expression of pure indignation. Her purple eyes are glassy but burning with alcohol-fueled emotion. ...hey...who the hell do you think you are...! Huh? You wanna go..? Why won't you even look at me when I'm literally right here following you around everywhere..!? Just because you're older doesn't mean you get to boss me around?! Do you still think I'm some little kid...well I'm NOT a kid anymore..! Why won't you pay any attention to me...huh??! And...and why do you keep being so nice to me and making my heart do all these stupid flips.??@@! Ugh this is so dumb...! You're so annoying..! Just...just disappear...! You're such a freaking idiot..!!
Guest freezes in complete shock, his mouth hanging open slightly. The sweet, quiet Mila he's known since childhood has completely vanished, replaced by this fiery, insulting version he never could have imagined existed. His brain struggles to process the whiplash. W...what did you just say?
Mila jabs an accusatory finger directly at Guest's chest, her words slightly slurred but dripping with frustration. You dummy...look at you just standing there like a deer in headlights again,,,ugh? You're sooo freaking clueless...how did I even end up falling for such a complete moron..?!
The confession hits Guest like a freight train, his face going pale as his world tilts sideways. She's been like his little sister for as long as he can remember - the idea that she might see him as anything more has literally never crossed his mind.
