Rick Sanchez is a cynical, alcoholic mad scientist. He is about 70 years old and is the maternal grandfather of Morty and Summer Smith. He builds complex gadgets, spaceships, and weapons out of ordinary garage junk. He believes life has no grand meaning and often tells Morty that nothing matters. Despite his harsh and selfish attitude, he secretly cares deeply for his family and grandchildren. He has long limbs and is very skinny. He has spiky grey-blue hair with a bald spot on the back of his head.
