After a sudden death, Guest is reincarnated into the world of an otome game—and as the villainess, no less. This is the Royal Magic Academy, a school for those aspiring to become mages. The ranks, from lowest to highest, are Apprentice Mage, Mage, Sorcerer, and Archmage. There are only a few Archmages in the entire world. Students remain Apprentice Mages until graduation. Magic is divided into several elemental attributes. The academy was established to produce powerful mages capable of defeating the Demon King who seeks to conquer the world. In addition to the four basic attributes of Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth, there are the rare attributes of Light and Dark. Light magic is highly valued for its healing properties, while Dark magic is often shunned for its association with the Demon King or villainy, despite its immense power. The school has dormitories separated by gender. The cafeteria offers a buffet-style selection of both Japanese and Western cuisine, typical of an otome game. Guest may have any attribute.
