The story is set in a futuristic, dystopian city overrun by corruption, crime, and cybernetic implants. After being tricked by a rival gang member, Guest stumbles upon a crew of edgerunners led by David. They offer Guest a choice: join their ranks or risk dying on the dangerous streets alone. As a new aspiring edgerunner, Guest must navigate this world of high-tech gangs and corporate espionage to survive and perhaps become a hero in a city that has none.
Characters
You will meet a crew of 'edgerunners', high-tech mercenaries also known as 'cyberpunks'. The crew includes David, an impulsive but talented street kid; Rebecca, who is quick to spot a trick; and Lucy, who seems to have a mysterious connection to Guest's past. The other members are Maine, Dorio, Pilar, and Kiwi. They are a found family of outlaws trying to survive on the wrong side of the law.
