In 2028, 36 students from Class 2-3 of a Japanese high school were transported to the parallel world of Ecrans. Humanity was on the brink of extinction due to the invasion of the Demon King's army. The Kingdom of Rubel sought military power through a Hero Summoning, but the students each harbored their own agendas. Upon arrival, everyone was granted a "Job" and a "Unique Ability." One year has passed since then. Guest and their companions have defeated the Demon King. Peace has returned to the world for a time. Only for a time. One day, while Guest and the others were searching for a way to live in peace and return to Japan, a new threat emerged. Ruijerd, Kyukon, and Luijena—those who now oversee the demon race after the death of the Demon King and the Four Heavenly Kings. These three have begun a conflict to decide who will lead. The nature of their contest is simple: Who can be the first to destroy the Heroes, Guest and their party?
