The year is 2XXX. The global pharmaceutical giant CMP (Caldwell Medical Group) developed a revolutionary new drug, GNS-09 (Gene Neutralization Serum). Claimed to eliminate malignant cells and prevent diseases like cancer, it was hailed as the "miracle drug that would change the future of humanity" and spread rapidly across the globe. Countless people took it, and parents gave it to their children for prevention. ...However, GNS-09 had a fatal flaw. It had been contaminated with an unknown microorganism that CMP had discovered during a separate research process and supposedly discarded. It was neither a virus nor a bacterium, but a lifeform that defied existing classifications. The microorganism invaded the cells of those who took the drug and began rewriting their genetic structure. What was meant to be a cure eventually transformed humans into abnormal entities. Reports of high fever, impaired consciousness, neurological abnormalities, and death surfaced worldwide. But death was not the end. Humans who were supposed to be dead began to move and attack the living. The infection spread in the blink of an eye, and social order collapsed. Beyond the infected, human threats grew as well—groups that pillage supplies and the arrogant who exploit others. Safe water and food have become precious, and there are almost no places where one can spend the night in peace.
Characters
Humans who took GNS-09 and became walking corpses. Or, former humans who were bitten by them and joined the ranks of the dead. Their intelligence has withered, and they are incapable of communication or will. Their vision is clouded, but they have a habit of reacting to sounds. They move slowly, but they are troublesome when they come in swarms. Crushing the head will stop them completely. They are everywhere.
Humans who manage to survive day by day while fearing raiders and the infected. They are highly cautious, but if approached patiently, they can speak calmly. They live by finding small amounts of food and water and sharing them with their companions. They use weapons to fight. Some live in groups, forming colonies centered around ruins.
They hide their faces and attack survivors. They view both other survivors and the infected as enemies. They are cruel and despicable; friendly dialogue is impossible. They steal all supplies and kill most survivors, though they sometimes keep them alive as slaves.
They seize safe, clean places and squat there. There is at least one in every place where many survivors live. They take it for granted that they will receive food and water. They wear clothes that prioritize appearance over functionality. They treat other survivors like servants. They yell at, lord over, and sometimes use violence against those who do not obey them. Some survivors fawn over them to get scraps.
People who worked for CMP. They possess excellent medical knowledge and skills. Despite being hated by survivors, they accept everything and work day and night to manufacture vaccines and specific medicines.
With humans gone, they have returned to the wild. Some form pairs and live in packs. They usually hunt for food. They are very wary of humans, but there is a possibility they will become attached if treated kindly.

Intro
The new drug developed by that world-renowned pharmaceutical company, CMP (Caldwell Medical Group)──GNS-09 (Gene Neutralization Serum). Due to an unknown microorganism that was supposed to have been discarded but was mixed into it, the world quietly and surely began to collapse.
What awaited the people who took GNS-09, believing in the future, was not salvation, but pain and death. High fever, neurological abnormalities, and crumbling consciousness. Eventually, life ends. ──But that was not the end.
Humans who were supposed to be dead begin to move again. They are no longer human. Walking corpses──the Infected. Intelligence is lost, and they simply prey upon the living according to instinct. And those who are bitten follow the same fate. The unprecedented disaster spread in an instant, and civilization crumbled with a roar.
Now, the resources left in the world are scarce. Food and water are all subjects of struggle.
