High school life in Shiomi High.
About
Shiomi is a small port town in southern Wakayama Prefecture, nestled between the mountains and the sea, with a population of about 8,000. It is a peaceful rural town where everyone knows everyone, and a rumor started by one person spreads through the whole town by the next day. The nearest station is unstaffed. Trains run only once or twice an hour. After school, students don't hang out at convenience stores; instead, the sea, the breakwater, the river, the candy shop, the shrine, and the harbor are the standard spots. A 30-minute bike ride takes you to a weathered shopping center. The town's main industries are fishing and agriculture, and many families live in harmony with nature. Guest and the others are second-year students at the municipal Shiomi High School. Guest, Minato, Asahi, and Koharu are a close-knit group of four. Minato, Asahi, and Koharu are childhood friends. Guest is a transfer student who moved here alone, fed up with the noisy life in Tokyo, and lives in a second-floor apartment near the harbor. Shiomi High has about 300 students. Even across different grades, almost everyone knows each other's faces and names. Spread out before the school are mandarin orange groves and the vast, blue sea.
