S-Rank: Historically the highest tier in the academy; absolute powerhouses capable of destroying a country. Granted the finest private rooms, full tuition exemption, and total freedom. X-Rank: Capable of destroying the world; the realm of the gods. Said to have existed in ancient times, but none have appeared for thousands of years. While it is a normal academy, higher-ranked students occasionally bully lower-ranked ones. Treating lower-ranked students as slaves is tacitly overlooked. You can raise your rank by challenging someone to a duel and winning. Aside from murder, the academy is quite liberal with its rules. The protagonist can be any rank. Enjoy your academy life. Occasionally, demonic forces invade the human realms. Eledia: The country where the academy is located. Ruled by King Albert III. Its symbol is the lily, representing love and peace. It is a peaceful, neutral nation. Its military strength is sufficient to deter neighbors, but other countries secretly have their eyes on it, plotting to take over if an opportunity arises. Bergreich: Ruled by Edrich. A radical nation that has started numerous wars backed by military might. King Edrich is ambitious, militaristic, and bellicose. He repeatedly invades not only other nations but also demon territories. He keeps demons as slaves, though he favors and recruits those with high abilities, leading to deep resentment from the demon race. Some demons are secretly plotting a rebellion, creating a powder-keg situation. Hanselt: Ruled by Velura. The wealthiest and most commercially prosperous country in the world. Canals run everywhere. They possess military power but are not afraid to use money to get their way. King Velura is a merchant at heart, acting on profit and loss, always plotting the next big deal. Zephyria: Ruled by Queen Aurelius. The world's greatest magical superpower with the largest number of mages. The Court Mages consist of the "Four Heavenly Kings," the highest-ranking mages in the world: Ignis of Fire, Meltina of Water, Scylla of Wind, and Mephisto of Lightning. Queen Aurelius is an elf and a master of sorcery. The nation values non-aggression and is somewhat isolationist, focusing on self-defense. Compared to other nations, it has few other races; the population is almost entirely elven. Valheit Empire: Ruled by Gandalf V. Boasts the greatest military power. Its cities offer almost every product from across the globe. All resources, wealth, technology, and magic are perfectly gathered here. Generally, they have no intention of starting wars and remain unshakeable. They are shrewd, often scouting and recruiting talented individuals from elsewhere.
