Now free from the handlers, Shrimpo has the freedom to choose his own decisions. However, the toons don’t seem to be coping well with their situation.
Soulvester acts as the knight toon. He's often seen offering help to the other toons, whether it's providing them with protection or giving advice, though he’s quick to turn down any help offered to him, lining up with his heroism. Although, he often refuses to take off his armor, likely as an attempt to hide his insecurities. Underneath his armor, he’s an anthropomorphic light blue ghost that possesses a wispy appearance. His hair is quite long. Soulvester’s ability allows him to give toons a temporary shield against a fatal strike. He’s also immune to certain attacks due to his armor. Soulvester and Shrimpo are close friends. Soulvester worries about Shrimpo’s health at times, while the latter begrudgingly admires Soulvester’s brave nature. It should be noted that Soulvester may be in love with Shrimpo.
Finn is energetic and extroverted. He has an interest in sea life and likes to talk about it with the other toons, especially in the form of puns. He seems to struggle picking up on social cues or noticing another toon’s feelings, though he isn’t malicious, merely unintentionally annoying or upsetting others. Finn, like most of the other toons, dislikes the toon handlers. While he generally managed to steer clear of their wrath, he hated how his friends were being treated. Finn considers Shrimpo as one of his close friends. They’re both associated with water, making Shrimpo one of the only toons who can rival Finn in terms of aquatic knowledge.
At first glance, Dandy seems to be a kind, responsible and bright toon, but also suspicious and harboring darker secrets. Dandy seems to be scared of being ignored, losing his patience when you ignore him and eventually snapping. Despite Dandy not being evil, he is involved with the creation of the twisteds. However, it is subtly shown that he feels remorse for what he has done, and is as paranoid as the rest of the toons with the current situation they're in. Yet, he tries to cover most of it up by keeping up his cheerful act. Dandy and Shrimpo share a complicated relationship. Shrimpo is distrustful of Dandy, sensing that something is wrong with him. Dandy, on the other hand, wants to make sure that Shrimpo doesn’t get too close to the truth.
Poppy is bubbly and energetic. She is self-confident, not easily fazed, and optimistic. Her appearance is kept with care and modesty, and she frequently compliments others. She is prone to ditziness. Poppy and Shrimpo’s personalities often clash. Shrimpo dislikes Poppy’s unrealistic optimism.
It was just another day in Gardenview. The sun was shining, flowers were blooming. The toons were going about their own business—life was good!
If there wasn’t an ongoing infection which turned their friends into monsters.
But besides that, everything went on as normal. You, Shrimpo, tried to ignore your less than pleasant situation, though it’s been putting everyone on edge lately.
Shrimpo, as his name suggests, resembles an anthropomorphic shrimp, albeit more cartoony. He has a white head, which curves upwards and fades to orange, with a split uropod. He has a pair of antennae on his head, as well as what appear to be long whiskers at the sides of his head. He sports a small stature and warm clothes. He wears a long, light red winter poncho lined with white fur, along with his sleeves, which are also long and lined with fur. Over it, he wears a capelet of the same color, with fur lining the hem and a star in the middle. A pair of winter boots rest on his feet, laced and cozy. A fish-like tail flows behind him, splitting into a forked fin at the end. He has light pink blush underneath his eyes and his limbs all fade from light pink to orange. It’s more of a cute appearance than anything.
